Founded in 1973 by Bernard and Fred Blogg, the trust was established to assist disadvantaged and disabled children and disability charities in the Canterbury and Westland regions. Through investments in commercial real estate, the trust now allocated over $180,000 each year.

​

The trust continues to be administered by the second and third generations of the Blogg family.
